JUICEPAPER.
Back to the mixThe interesting bits. In a few good minutes.

Your group chat has become a second job

You joined to organise one dinner. There are now subcommittees.

Made up on purpose. This is satire. Take it with a generous pinch of nonsense.

It began with a perfectly reasonable question: 'Dinner on Friday?' Four days later, you are deputy coordinator of a twelve-person organisation with no constitution and a surprisingly militant position on small plates.

Someone has made a poll. Someone has made a second poll because the first poll lacked context. A third person has asked what this chat is for, despite attending the original dinner in 2023.

You now spend your lunch break answering questions about a different lunch. Availability must be submitted in three formats. The person who suggested the restaurant has gone completely silent.

There is only one sensible course of action: mute notifications, wait for a booking confirmation and prepare to discover that the final plan is, inexplicably, brunch.

Nice to meet you

A paper with
a little more juice.

Juicepaper is a daily mix of news worth understanding, nonsense worth a laugh, and things that might actually make your day easier.

Our news takes a little time to settle. We keep it short, link to the original sources, and show where the information comes from. Articles that use AI assistance say so.

Stories labelled Nonsense / Satire are entertainment. The ridiculous bits are made up on purpose.

Read a little. Get on with your day.
